Oaklandish has long represented more than apparel. The Oakland brand sits at the intersection of local culture, identity and community pride.

This collaboration focused on creating visual content that reflected authenticity to Oakland's creative community while supporting the brand's storytelling across photography and video in a weekly lyrical series.

The Approach

Rather than focusing solely on products, the work centered on people, atmosphere and place.

The goal was to create imagery that felt lived-in, expressive and culturally relevant—capturing the spirit of Oakland through cinematic storytelling and documentary-inspired visuals.

This approach helped position the brand within a larger narrative of community, creativity and local identity.
