Real Old Paper

As a Bay Area creative, I love seeing my friends near and far follow their passion to their purpose. And thats just what my high school buddy Andy England has done. I caught up with him recently over our early morning location shoot of his new gallery in the city. By way of Maui, Andy and his fam landed back in the Bay and opened their doors at Real Old Paper a quick 8 months later in the heart of North Beach. Unlike most galleries, Real Old Paper is adorned with perfectly imperfect pieces of art and history. Quite literally, he told me, "These pieces aren't supposed to be here." Most posters on display are from his private collection; a collection that has follow him from HI and has grown by the dozens ever since. A blend of movie posters from the early 1900's in nearly every continent you can name, classic Americana, vintage airline posters and almost everything in between. Theres a piece for everyone, literally. Along with the original beautes, he has a collection of reproduced prints, too. Here's a handful of shots from our shoot, below. Want more?
